Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that supports the independently incorporated Planned Parenthood affiliates operating health centers across the U.S. Planned Parenthood Action Fund is an independent, nonpartisan, not-for-profit membership organization formed as the advocacy and political arm of Planned Parenthood Federation of America. The Action Fund engages in educational, advocacy, and electoral activity, including grassroots organizing, legislative advocacy, and voter education.
Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) and Planned Parenthood Action Fund (PPAF) seeks an experienced e-learning designer and LMS support professional to fill the role of Senior Specialist, E-Learning Design. This impactful individual contributor acts as an E-learning, LMS (learning management system) and adult learning SME (subject matter expert) and coaches and supports leaders around learning design as needed.
Purpose:
Reporting to the Associate Director, L&D, the Senior Specialist, E- Learning Design supports progress toward our strategic goals of attracting, developing and retaining top talent and becoming a Great Place to Work for All. This individual contributor owns the design of asynchronous training programs outlined in PPFA’s leadership development framework, competency model mentoring /coaching programs and ad hoc training experiences.
Delivery: ●Serves as a primary instructional designer for PPFA’s learning and leadership development framework’s asynchronous offerings. ●Leverages new and innovative ways to design e-learning that facilitates engaging training and follows Adult Learning Theory concepts and learning accessibility principles.● Develop assessments to measure the effectiveness of curriculum and learner performance.●Revises current training content as needed, and/or designs next phases of content. ●Supports the Manager, Learning, & Development with regular audits and modify the learning products available to the National Office and Affiliate audiences through both the CAL (LMS), the Intranet, and the 360Learning platform. ●Partners closely with Culture and Equity staff to ensure integration of In This Together (ITT) values and equity principles within learning content.●Leverages various learning technologies and platforms to facilitate efficient and effective knowledge sharing and learning across the organization.●Serves as a super-user for the LinkedIn Learning catalog.●Builds and maintains relationships with the People, Culture and Equity team, National Office leaders, affiliate staff and leaders, and other stakeholders at various organizational levels to increase engagement with PPLearn (LMS). ●Partners closely with Culture and Equity staff to ensure integration of ITT values and equity principles within learning content.●Maintains up-to-date knowledge of content areas as well as industry training and best practices.● Provides technical support as needed during virtual training sessions via Google Meet and Zoom. ●Provides administrative support and coordination for learning cohorts.
Engagement: ●Serves as key partner to Associate Director, Learning & Development and Manager, Learning & Development.●Builds trusting, strong and collaborative relationships with People & Culture Business Partners, broader PCE team, ERG leaders, leaders and staff at all levels across the organization to advance the critical learning and development priorities for the organization. ●Partners with internal and external DEI partners to ensure equitable strategies and procedures within work. ●Demonstrates a commitment to race equity. Maintains current knowledge of PPFA’s work toward enhanced race equity standards, is held accountable to them and holds their team members accountable. ●Demonstrates commitment to and embodiment of gender, racial, and reproductive justice values and demonstrates the ability to apply those values to leadership programs.●Continuously maintains professional growth and learning by attending and engaging in internal and external conferences, seminars, etc.
