Job Summary
Otsuka’s internship program, Intern the Otsuka Way (InTOW), offers students a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop critical skills while contributing to meaningful projects. Interns will work alongside experienced professionals, learn about the complexities of the pharmaceutical industry, and gain insights into potential career paths. By combining practical experience with professional development, our program prepares interns for future success. Our internship program also includes instructor led trainings, a leadership engagement series, as well as insightful lunch and learns.

Duration of internship: May 19, 2025, through August 11, 2025.
Job Description
The Global Quality (GQ) organization is continuously improving our risk management practices. This internship will work closely with GQ leadership and key stakeholders to establish a standard quality risk management framework and toolkit
Establish a baseline understanding of current practices across the GQ organization to measure and articulate risk
Research and assess current industry best practices for quality risk management in the Pharmaceutical industry
Recommend standardization of tools and language for risk management across the global GQ organization.
Support the creation and maintenance of risk management templates, including risk registers, risk assessment reports, and mitigation plans.
Review current management review dashboards and recommend revisions based on new risk framework.
Qualifications
Minimum:
By Fall 2025 candidate must be considered a/n undergraduate junior/senior
Science, Engineering or Math based Major or field of study preferred
Actively enrolled in an accredited college or university following the potential internship.
Can commit to full duration of internship program.
Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Basic understanding of Quality Risk Management principles
Basic understanding of risk analysis processes such as FMEA, PHA, HACCP, etc.
Experience in Risk Modeling
Strong data analysis skills
Excellent communication skills and the ability to convert technical concepts into management level presentations.
