Accounts Receivable Analyst

Key Responsibilities:

• Reconcile daily payment files from multiple sources and resolve discrepancies, record customer payments, refunds and adjustments.
• Collaborate and provide guidance to store customer care associates in analyzing account receivable balances.
• Build and maintain mastery of the Accounts Receivable NetSuite ERP system.
• Prepare daily reconciliations and provide journal entries for activity in various balance sheet accounts pertaining to AR activity such as gift cards.
• Review and post transactions to customer account balances.
• Issue customer refunds and gift cards.
• Audit invoices, sales tax and other invoice data for accuracy.
• Other compliance related activities.
• Additional projects as needed.

Qualifications:

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience
• 5 years previous accounting or accounts receivable experience
• Strong analytical skills to recognize trends and relationships among sets of data.
• Advanced Excel skills with a high standard for accuracy and detail.  
• An understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
• Ability to work independently and build relationships with accounting staff as part of a team.
