Director, Advisory Trading

In this role, you will provide leadership and direction for implementing business transformation efforts to advisory trading systems and processes. Responsibilities include recommending, developing, and implementing plans to drive enhancement efforts, regulatory changes and support for external asset manager connections. This includes defining scope and requirements, assessing, and influencing design, testing, documentation and deployment of changes to production. This role will oversee key trading areas that include advisory trading and support the business line with resolving production issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Leverage extensive industry knowledge of advisory systems and model-based trading to deliver complex project enhancements, and regulatory deliverables.  Apply appropriate change controls to ensure timely and successful implementations while managing upward cadence to leadership on project status, timeline/milestones, and risks.
• Provide leadership through cross organizational relationships across a variety of internal business partners, core vendors, and external parties to advance strategic efforts or to address production and system issues.
• Provide strategic direction through development of trading integrations and repeatable onboarding processes in support of external asset manager relationships, TAMPS, or additional clearing arrangements.
• Provide effective leadership to direct reports incorporating performance management practices through individual performance plans, periodic reviews, coaching and development.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience supporting advisory programs and model-based trading or correspondent clearing setup and support

 
Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of InvestCloud/APL, Envestnet, and/or other vendor modeling and order generation platforms
• Knowledge of BetaNXT
• Series 7 & 24 preferred
• People leadership experience
• Strong technical knowledge and understanding of advisory and trading system integrations required
• Strong working knowledge of managed account operational policies, techniques, and regulations
• Demonstrated experience with project and operational leadership with delivery of medium to large cross-functional efforts
• Strong relationship management/influencing skills
