Overview
The HR People Analytics Data Engineer reports directly to the People Analytics Manager. Supports all aspects of Human Resources (HR) data architecture, integrity, and visualization design utilized in business intelligence. Partners with internal and external stakeholders to ensure People Analytics provides valuable insights into the business, with a commitment to continuous improvement.
Primary Responsibilities
• Work closely with the People Analytics Leader to establish Automated Dashboards and the availability of data for targeted analysis crossing multiple databases and HR/Business functions
• Consult on and respond to time sensitive, non-standard reporting requests
• Participate in People Analytics data strategy and roadmap exercises, data definition, business intelligence, research design, implementation, and maintenance
• Integrate data from multiple sources, ensuring consistency, reliability, and accessibility for stakeholders
• Support end-to-end testing of new or enhanced reporting database tools
• Build, test, and support end-to-end data workflows
• Partner with the enterprise technology partners to design data pipelines to ensure efficient data flow from various sources to our data warehouse.
• Enhance the performance and scalability of data systems to meet the growing needs of the business.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Additional Primary Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree and relevant experience or equivalent education and related experience
• Three years development and relational database experience; proficiency in SQL
• Extensive experience with visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, etc.
• Broad technical aptitude, knowledge, and understanding specifically in data warehousing, ETL processes, BI, and integration technologies
• Working knowledge of using, troubleshooting, and maintaining computer and networking equipment
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Technical Expertise: The ability to demonstrate proficiency in job-related technical skills and knowledge.
• Willingness to Learn: The motivation to absorb and apply new information, techniques, or procedures to work.
• Analytical Thinking: The ability to systematically review information and be detailed in analysis to draw meaningful insights.
• Flexibility: The ability to shift or change opinions, actions, or behaviors to embrace new situations or ideas and adjust to unexpected circumstances.
• Time Management: The ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage time to reach work goals.
• Communication: Expresses ideas or a message in a clear and convincing manner.
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
• Proficiency in one or more of the following programming languages: Python, R
• Experience working with HR systems such as SAP HCM, Taleo, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle Obi, or similar HR applications
• Knowledge of MS Office Suite
