The chassis systems engineer is responsible for delivering our next generation products and ensuring chassis designs meet both vehicle and customer needs. CSE is the link between the vehicle attributes/requirements and the components. The CSE role ensures vehicle tuning and/or component changes do not adversely affect error states, vehicle attributes, or quality.
What you'll do...
Delivery of the vehicle hardpoints and suspension travel.
Alignment and ride height specifications, tolerances, and capability.
Create and maintain program ADAMS model through the life of a program.
Maintain chassis systems health chart to ensure delivery of vehicle attributes.
Lead interface with Vehicle Dynamics/NVH/Road Loads and other functions for target alignment and system level attributes delivery.
Connecting the chassis system to suspension and steering components.
Ensuring the link between analytical methods and actual hardware performance.
Working with vehicle development and D&R engineers for refining functional characteristics of the suspension components, system, features into the vehicle.
Cross functional issue resolution.
Working with PVT/Plants to reduce alignment related warranty.
You'll have...
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related degree.
3+ years of experience with engineering tools & processes including FMEA quality process & documents, DVP&R, GD&T, DVA, and CATIA/Teamcenter.
2+ years of experience with chassis components.
Even better, you may have...
Knowledge of engineering GPDS deliverables.
Experience with ADAMS Chassis/Car a benefit.
Experience with Vehicle Engineering a benefit.
Project management skills.
Strong problem solving and interpersonal skills.
Motivated self-starter, ability to manage/prioritize multiple assignments.
