POSITION SUMMARY 

Sony Corporation of America (SCA) is seeking a dynamic Senior Analyst, Communications to join the Corporate Information Security Division (CISD). This position will report to the Manager of Communications and be a part of the Communications & Strategic Initiatives team, a trusted partner and service provider within CISD. As a Senior Analyst, Communications, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic communication plans and performing tactical day-to-day communication tasks that enhance our organization's reputation, support our mission, and foster strong relationships with key stakeholders. The Senior Analyst, Communications will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the consistent and strategic delivery of messages to internal and external stakeholders. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Support the communication of the organization’s strategy, key messages, and initiatives to a wide variety of internal Sony audiences, using a multichannel approach including intranet and extranet websites, meetings and meeting presentations, written reports, newsletters, and email communications 

  • Collaborate with CISD teams to develop, implement, measure, and ensure integration of communications plans and strategies to CISD stakeholders 

  • Research, write, and edit content on information security incidents, trends, and protective measures for executive audiences 

  • Own and drive communication initiatives such as quarterly all hands meetings, newsletters, communications best practices, resources, templates, and style guides, to 300 global CISD employees 

  • Create engaging communications that inform, inspire, and influence employees 

 

QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION 

Your qualifications and experience should include:  

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business, communications, information security, or a related field, or other equivalent experience 

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in communications, strategic planning, project management, and/or research and report writing 

  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to express complex and technical issues to a non-technical audience 

  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen attention to detail 

  • Deep commitment to quality and accuracy 

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and ability to prioritize and respond to critical tasks, organize, and schedule work effectively  

  • Highly proficient in PowerPoint and all MS Office suite programs 

  • Excellent analytical and creative skills  

  • Ability to accommodate occasional work outside of standard hours 

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required, up to 5% 

  • Eligible to work in the USA 

  • Experience with graphic design a plus 

  • International business experience a plus 

  • Familiarity with written and spoken Japanese a plus 

  • Fundamental understanding of IT technologies and information security concepts is a plus
