VP, Financial Solutions Lead Analyst – Prudential Regulatory Reports

The Financial Solutions Lead Analyst for Prudential Regulatory Reports will be responsible for transaction testing for prioritized reports, including test script writing, test execution and observation validation. This lead will work closely with Prudential and/or Regulatory Reports Report Owners, Source Document Providers, and Coverage Planning & Data Team to execute transaction testing reviews and ensure adherence to the Quality Assurance Operating Model.
Success for this Lead Analyst is to effectively and efficiently executing testing reviews aligned to the Transaction Testing Multi Year Plan and Operating Model, testing data reported to regulators match their original source values, and conform to reporting requirements to identify areas which may require stronger data quality controls or compensating measures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform transaction testing reviews for a book of work.
- Develop test scripts that define testing approach including data attributes to test, source documentation to utilize, and test steps to determine if sample is reported correctly in alignment with reporting instructions.
- Lead and check the work of analysts supporting transaction testing reviews including prioritizing work, providing guidance throughout reviews, developing analysts’ testing skill set, report and product knowledge through training on the review’s scope.
- Partner with Coverage Planning and Data Team, Source Documentation Team, and Report Owners in perform transaction testing reviews aligned the Transaction Testing Operating Model.
- Act as Lead Analyst for Testing Review Execution for Prudential and/or Other Reg Reports prioritized scope.
- Assign, manage, and review work of others, evaluating their findings and judgment in applying regulatory principles to reporting.
- Identify issues and exceptions, produce executive quality reports, analysis and insights, coordinate handoffs and communicate updates and results effectively to manager and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Data Providers, Report Owners, and Source Documentation providers to perform observation validation and root cause analysis for exceptions.
- Ensure adherence to relevant policies, standards and operating procedures pertaining to Transaction Testing Process
Additional Responsibilities may include:
- Support the standardization of Citi’s Quality Assurance Operating Model, Review Execution and Work Papers
- Support Internal Audit, FINCRO, and Regulatory testing Reviews for Prudential and/or other Regulatory reports.
- Provide support as needed with updating KPIs, metrics, and other presentations, identifying enhancement opportunities and implementing, and supporting manager in the messaging of results/value add to senior management.
- Facilitating ad hoc, special requests and project management
The ideal candidate will have the following education, knowledge, and experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required
- Three tiers of primary subject matter knowledge required:
- Prudential or Regulatory experience with key regulatory reports for banking organizations (i.e. FR Y-9C, FFIEC 031, FFIEC 009, FR 2510, FR Y-15)
- Knowledge of Bank Products (i.e., Loans, Deposits, Securities, Derivatives).
- US GAAP Knowledge
- Quality Assurance transaction testing experience preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in Quality Assurance and / or Regulatory Reporting in financial services including proven experience in complex operational environments.
- CPA certification and/or audit experience a plus
- Ability to collaborate, coordinate and execute with the broader teams, Source Document Providers, Report Owners, Data Providers, technology, and other functions to drive successful execution of testing reviews.
- Well-developed organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, aligned with excellent attention to detail and time management.
- Strong ability to communicate (oral and written) clearly to both technical experts and non-technical business leaders in order to facilitate review discussions with stakeholders, clearly articulate findings, and defend point of view amongst various groups.
- Experience in working in a unit requiring coordination across multiple regions and business segments to deliver in a global organization.
