The Boeing Company’s Government Accounting (Labor Accounting) has an exciting opportunity for a Mid-Level Labor Accountant to join the team in Hazelwood, Missouri or Renton, WA.
This position will interface with various groups at Boeing including, but not limited to; Financial Accounting, Cost Policy, Financial Operations, Cost and Financial Structure Management, Intercompany Accounting, Accounts Receivable, and Information Technology Finance.
The successful candidate will have:
A working knowledge of the cost structure for Boeing Defense, Space and Security/Boeing Global Services-Government (BDS/BGS-G), Engineering, Test & Technology (ET&T), & Information Technology & Shared Services (IT&SS).
- An understanding of Government Accounting
- Experience in preparing journals/reconciliations and excellent communication and organizational skills
Position Responsibilities:
- Research, prepare, review, and reconcile accounting information and reports
- Analyze and mitigate compliance risk/errors of a complex nature
- Analyze and interpret complex directives, policies, and regulatory requirements to provide recommendations on new and existing accounting issues including the writing of white papers on accounting issues
- Identify and communicate cost collection requirements while developing, implementing, and maintaining cost accounting structure/systems, tools, data and related realignment activities
- Support the development and deployment of complex changes to accounting tools and processes
This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.
This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance require]ments, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3+ years of Accounting or Finance experience
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience in Enterprise Accounting System (EAS)
- Experience in Government Accounting
- Experience in Microsoft Excel (i.e. formulas, pivot tables, linking worksheets)
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).
Relocation:

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range for Renton, WA: $79,900 - $94,000
Summary pay range Hazelwood, MO: $74,800 - $88,000
