SUMMARY:

Motivated individuals who aspire to obtain the CFP® designation and will be trained to help provide ongoing service and advice to our on-plan asset management clients under the supervision of a CFP®. This is a paid, part-time internship of $20/hr in our Addison, TX office. We are open to a hybrid working schedule. Working hours are between 8:00am to 5:00pm with around 20 work hours per week. We are looking to fill this position now, and the start date would be the last week of May.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Cross trains with various departments of Allworth Financial to obtain knowledge of how our business model functions
  • Helps create and implement financial plans for clients
  • Spend time assisting the Future Client Development Team
  • Performs various tasks and research relating to casework and business operations
  • Under the supervision of a CFP®, responds to clients’ questions, directly or indirectly, regarding any qualified area of financial planning
  • Shadows Financial Advisor future and existing client appointments to gain advisory training
  • Attends company events, including workshops and seminars
  • Takes appropriate steps to obtain the CFP® designation

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • In pursuit of BS/BA in Business Administration, Economics, or related field
  • In pursuit of CFP® designation
  • Self-starter, with the ability to work independently
  • Strong communication, team work, and relationship-building skills
  • Demonstrates ability to learn related financial and office programs and systems
