Senior Analyst, Finance
The Senior Analyst, Finance provides financial guidance to management through in-depth analysis of products, operations, capital requests, and strategic initiatives. This role supports cross-functional teams by conducting cost-benefit analyses and delivering actionable recommendations to improve financial and operational performance.
Primary Responsibilities
- Analyze financial and operational data to support management decisions on productivity, cost trends, and revenue performance.
- Perform cost-benefit analyses for cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support recommendations and forecasts.
- Participate in assigned projects using financial, statistical, and computer modeling techniques.
- Coordinate and analyze the annual business plan, capital plan, and Long Range Outlook (LRO).
- Prepare and present periodic updates on operating changes to management.
- Review financial plans for completeness and alignment with strategic objectives.
- Advise management on the operational and economic impact of proposed systems, investments, and product changes.
- Conduct feasibility and profitability studies for proposed corporate programs and strategies.
- Act as a financial lead on special projects, defining data needs and creating integrated databases for analysis.
- Establish links between various corporate databases to support enterprise-wide reporting and analytics.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field preferred.
- 4--7 years of relevant experience required; in lieu of degree, high school diploma or GED with 5--8 years of relevant experience.
Skills and Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of financial analysis methodologies including ROI, NPV, and fixed/variable cost allocation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong presentation skills for training and stakeholder engagement.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to review data and make strategic recommendations.
- Customer service driven and a strong team player
