Job Description

In the Project Manager position, you will have the responsibility of leveraging our internal PCBA manufacturing capabilities in collaboration with our Contract Manufacturing partners. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring that the highest standards of PCBA practices and procedures are consistently followed for all New Product Development projects.

 

Your meticulous attention to detail and extensive knowledge in this field will be instrumental in guaranteeing the success and quality of these projects from inception to completion.

 

What You’ll Do and Impact

  • Develop Operational and Technical relationships between Miller’s internal PCBA Operations and all our Contract Manufacturing partners.
  • Work in parallel with the Divisions, Electrical Components, and the Contract Manufacturing Partners to provide clear direction as to where NPD projects should be manufactured.
  • Create a comprehensive manufacturing plan for all new NPD projects.
  • Ensure all NPD projects are reviewed for compliance to our company DFM and DFT guidelines.
  • Act as a liaison between the Divisions and the Contract Manufacturing Partners
  • Obtain quotes and Costed Bill of Material from our Contract Manufacturing Partners on all outsourced projects.
  • Prepare Total Cost of Ownership analysis for all boards coming through the NPD tollgate process
  • Create transition plan for boards from NPD, to early launch, to full production between divisions and board manufacturer.  Which will include board components, test requirements and fixtures, as well as other manufacturing needs.
  • Create Lifecycle analysis on Contract Manufactures legacy boards, as product moves from full production to Service Only volumes
  • Communicate project status and escalation to leadership as needed.
  • Conduct project meetings and be responsible for project tracking and analysis.
  • Assess, manage, and mitigate project risks.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and review project deliverables.
  • Drive and manage the tollgates.
  • Recommend and act to direct the analysis and solutions of problems.

Qualifications

What you need to do to be successful in this role:

  • Strong business acumen and excellent project management skills
  • Strategic mindset with ability to anticipate future trends, while translating those insights into actionable strategy
  • Capable of influencing the actions, behaviors, and mindset of others without direct authority
  • Excellent facilitation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and connect with individuals at all levels of the organization 
  • Capable of managing large scale, multi-faceted projects across multiple divisions
  • High energy and drive with ‘can-do’ attitude
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Ability to work with cross functional teams
  • Experience in working with customers and vendors

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree required in Engineering, Electrical and/or Computer engineering preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience working in the EMS industry.
  • 3-5 years of experience leading product development activities with disciplined development process and project management techniques •
