Production Supervisor / Reverse Logistics Supervisor - Olathe, KS (Onsite)

Responsible for managing the safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost efficiency, as well as problem solving linked to continuous improvement, and management of the human resources assigned to the Supervisor.
The supervisor is responsible for running the group’s day-to-day operation as well as guiding the group to help achieve overall group objectives.

What You Will Do:

• Train employees to inspect, sort, troubleshoot and diagnose returned product to determine material and parts needed for refurbishment.
• Lead the team to achieve daily production, quality, process improvement, safety, and customer service goals.
• Ensure material inventory availability through transactional accuracy and auditing.  Works with procurement to address material outages and recovery plan.
• Gather data for measurement, analysis, reporting and to drive continuous improvement to reduce lead time, cost and improve on time delivery. Problem solving using the lean principles and tools.
• Must be able to conduct training and give oral presentations and be able to encourage and motivate work teams and individuals.  Report out on business condition of the group during MDI/Gemba walks.
• Provide input/guidance to form KPIs and annual objectives.
• Maintains department records such as time, attendance, vacations, and PTO.
• Communicate clear expectations and provide frequent feedback. Review the teams and the individual associates’ performance against the goals.
• Counsels, administers, and enforces discipline in accordance with company policies and procedures. Partners with HR for any hiring or termination requirements and employee relations issues.
• Engage with employees to create trusting relationships, a positive, open and creative work environment.
• Maintain a safe work environment through policy adherence, enforcement, and proper housekeeping. Work to resolve any unsafe behaviors or working conditions.
• Additional duties as assigned by manager.

What You Need to Succeed:

• 2+ years’ experience in a manufacturing/distribution environment.
• 4+ years’ experience in a supervisory role.
• Bachelor's degree preferred. 
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Excellent verbal communication skills in dealing with all levels of organization.
• Knowledge of operations, processes, equipment, and products, preferred but not required.
• Understanding of Lean Principles and Six Sigma application and usage.
• Mechanical ability, technical aptitude.
