Job Description

Visa USA Inc., a Visa Inc. company, needs a Sr. SW Engineer (Multiple Openings) in Austin, TX to develop, test, and document software programs. Design, develop, and implement modifications and corrections to the existing software, including the development of debugging routines. Apply the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the system development life cycle to support the generation of engineering applications and products. Support and/or install software applications/operating systems. Develop database queries or code that generate queries and resolve bugs found in existing codebases. Perform code reviews to verify changes meet development requirements before deploying the code in development environments. Conduct business and technical analyses, code reviews, and unit testing. Implement and produce technical documentations of solutions for new developments, system enhancements, and production support. Participate in testing processes through test reviews and analyses, test witnessing and the certification of software. Position reports to the Employer’s Austin, Texas office and may allow for partial telecommuting.

Qualifications

Employer will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical field.

Rate of Pay: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 102,300.00 USD to $158,600.00 USD per year. Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for an annual bonus and equity.
