Job Description

4 ten hour days/week, no weekends, holidays or call
New grads will be considered if they have related experience (e.g. worked on a surgical floor).  

The posting should contain this information;

The APP will, as part of the Interventional Radiology Team:
•    Complete inpatient consults for patients needing IR procedures; specifically
o    Screen referred cases to establish that they are appropriate
o    Obtain a focused medical history and physical
o    Evaluate status for moderate sedation
o    Review laboratory results and diagnostic imaging with radiologist as needed
o    Educate the patient/support persons regarding the procedure 
o    Obtain consents for procedures and moderate sedation 
•    Communicate effectively amongst the Attending Physician/Residents/Fellows, patients and their support persons, and the referring team.
•    Work with the Interventional Radiology Staff to prioritize patient procedures
•    Respond to emergencies in procedural and recovery areas

Qualifications

Acute Care NP or Physician Assistant  license in the state of Maryland
