About the role

RideNow Jacksonville is seeking a highly skilled A-Level Powersports Technician to join our fast-paced, multi-line OEM dealership. This role is ideal for a top-tier technician with extensive diagnostic and repair experience across multiple powersports brands, including motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, and personal watercraft.

 

The right candidate is detail-oriented, efficient, and committed to delivering high-quality workmanship while supporting a productive and team-driven service department.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Advanced Diagnostics & Repair
    • Perform complex diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on a wide range of powersports vehicles
    • Work on engines, transmissions, electrical systems, fuel systems, suspension, and driveline components
    • Utilize OEM diagnostic tools and service manuals effectively
  • Multi-Line Expertise
    • Service and repair multiple OEM brands with accuracy and efficiency
    • Stay up to date on manufacturer updates, recalls, and service bulletins
  • Service Efficiency & Productivity
    • Meet or exceed flat-rate time standards and productivity goals
    • Accurately document repairs, diagnostics, and parts usage
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Quality Control
    • Ensure all repairs meet or exceed manufacturer standards
    • Perform thorough inspections and test rides to confirm proper operation
  • Team Collaboration
    • Work closely with service advisors and parts department to ensure smooth workflow
    • Mentor and assist junior technicians when needed
Qualifications

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a powersports technician (A-Level or equivalent)
  • Strong diagnostic skills across electrical, fuel injection, and engine systems
  • Experience working with multiple OEM brands (e.g., metric motorcycles, off-road, watercraft)
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical service information
  • Valid motorcycle endorsement and clean driving record

Preferred Certifications

  • OEM certifications (e.g., Yamaha, Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, BRP, Polaris, etc.)
  • Technical school or trade certification in powersports, motorcycle, or small engine repair

Tools & Equipment

  • Must have own professional-grade tools
  • Experience with OEM diagnostic software and scan tools preferred
