Job Overview
The Senior Manager, Facility Operations plays a crucial role in exceeding expectations and providing a superb customer experience. This multi-faceted role requires the ability to balance strategy and execution. The Senior Manager, Facility Operations will lead all facets of the distribution center with responsibility for Store Delivery, Reverse Logistics, Furniture, Bedding, and Fulfillment operations. Additionally, this role collaborates with Finance, Human Resources, Systems, and business partners (merchant partners, carriers, and vendors), while coordinating and overseeing the day-to-day operational management of the facility's 4-Wall operations.
What You Will Do
- Oversee the financial, operational, safety, and service performance of the entire distribution center.
- Provide leadership and support to the facility team, ensuring consistent communication and execution of policies and procedures.
- Support functional departments in achieving KPI goals and customer service level targets by maintaining productivity rates and quality standards.
- Continuously analyze work processes to identify optimization opportunities and implement improvements.
- Foster a highly motivated team and cultivate a positive work culture dedicated to superior customer service.
- Lead Employee Resource Groups and support Diversity, Equity & Inclusion initiatives.
- Stay informed about warehouse management and supply chain/logistics trends.
- Drive and manage organizational growth-related changes.
- Offer effective logistics support to retail division customers and foster strong relationships with store and merchant groups.
- Ensure third-party delivery service meets delivery standards.
- Maintain OSHA compliance and uphold excellent safety processes to provide a secure work environment. Develop and enforce safe work practices.
- Fulfill other related duties, special projects, or assignments as needed.

Operational Management: Proficiency in overseeing the financial, operational, safety, and service performance of a distribution center, including store delivery, reverse logistics, and fulfillment operations.
Strategic Planning: Capability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution, effectively planning and executing strategies to drive organizational growth and improve operational efficiency.
Problem-Solving: Skill in identifying issues, solving problems, and implementing solutions to optimize processes and enhance performance.
Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively present information, keep others informed, and collaborate cross-functionally at various levels.
Team Building and Management: Experience in building and fostering diverse teams, gaining commitment from team members, and effectively managing the decision-making process.
Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, including facilitation, coaching, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal departments and external business partners.
Analytical Skills: Proficiency in analyzing data and utilizing analytical skills to identify optimization opportunities and drive informed decision-making.
Continuous Improvement: Commitment to continuous improvement, including staying informed about warehouse management and supply chain/logistics trends, and pursuing Lean methodology certification (Green Belt preferred).
