Job Duties
Effectively ensures that the RESEA program, which supports UI program integrity in accordance with DOL, state, and agency requirements and facilitation of reemployment for RESEA-selected claimants, is compliant with DOL regulations as a UI program.
Works closely with the Virginia Works Reemployment Services and Eligibility Assessment (RESEA) Program Manager to review daily samples of the scheduling, UI claim review, and dispositioning of RESEA claimants to ensure that issues are appropriately detected and referred for adjudication.
Reviews all RESEA-related ETA reports for accuracy prior to submission to DOL.
Ensures that appropriate UI staff are invited to and participate in RESEA training with Virginia Works staff.
Serves as the primary VEC liaison with Department of Labor for the RESEA program.
Minimum Qualifications
Comprehensive knowledge of the UI Program and UI claim integrity. Knowledge of the RESEA program.
Strong interpersonal, decision making, financial and grants management, oral and written communication and computer skills.
Ability to develop and implement policies and procedures; maintain strong relationships with various partners; collect, analyze and report data; evaluate performance, recommend strategies to enhance performance, and initiate change; prepare plans and reports; make presentations; and serve as a technical resource.
Additional Considerations
Education, training, and/or experience related to business administration, public administration, or related field.
Progressively responsible experience that provides an in-depth understanding of the UI program and its relation to RESEA.
Experience working in a VEC/Virginia Works field office.
Experience with interviewing techniques.
