Thus, through our enriching internship program, we help develop the next generation of engineers and technologists.
As an intern, you will help develop our industry-leading electromagnetic simulation software while gaining real experience in your field of study. You will work on a variety of impactful projects to help maintain, advance, and accelerate ANSYS products. In this internship, you will support our Electronics team. This is a 40-hour per week paid position starting January 2025 and concluding April 2025. The student is required to be in-office/Flex in the Ansys Evanston, IL office.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop Python-based pre/post-processing tools for existing ray-tracing solvers, with emphasis on radar scenarios.
- Develop prototypes or test new solution strategies or algorithms.
- Work alongside research engineers during the design, implementation, and verification process.
- Determine best practices when applying electromagnetic simulation software to solve challenging industrial problems.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Pursuing a BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or related technical degree..
- Currently enrolled in a full-time degree program and returning to university after the completion of the internship program.
- Experience in MATLAB, Python, and/or C++.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in electromagnetic field theory and numerical techniques.
- Familiarity with ray tracing and radar signal processing
- Self-motivated individual with ability to pick new projects and technology development effort from scratch.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
