Junior Software Developer

Westfalia Technologies, Inc. has set the benchmark in the automation industry, delivering top-tier solutions and innovations. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a motivated and talented Junior Software Developer to join our skilled software development team. As a Junior Developer, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting and cutting-edge projects in warehousing logistics while collaborating with a team of experienced developers and business analysts. This is a customer-facing role that will focus on project delivery, utilizing your coding and configuration skills. This role offers an excellent platform for growth and learning in a dynamic environment.

 Job Functions:

• Interact with customers to clarify requirements and develop project specifications
• Collaborate with senior developers and business analysts to understand project requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Participate in the design, development, configuration, and testing of software applications using SQL, C# and other .NET technologies
• Contribute to the creation of clean, efficient, and maintainable code, adhering to coding standards and best practices
• Assist in the debugging and troubleshooting of software applications to ensure their functionality and performance
• Maintain items in an Azure DevOps backlog and deliver sprint commitments
• Follow team protocols and adapt to changing environments
• Prepare and deploy releases
• Document technical specifications, code, and user guides to ensure accurate understanding and future maintenance
• Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to enhance your skills and contribute to team growth
• Availability to travel to customer sites for design discussions and commissioning support. (Expected travel: 0 – 6 weeks annually.)

Required Skills / Abilities:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong desire to learn
• Experience with C# or a similar OOP language and SQL queries
• Good collaboration skills
• Works effectively with minimum direction
• Ability to work in-person in York, PA one day per week

Desired Education / Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 0 - 2 years of software development experience
• Fluency in both English and Spanish is a plus
