What You’ll Do:
We are looking for an experienced Director, Creative Services & Production to join our team. This role will support the planning, execution and delivery of creative projects and bridge the gap between creativity and structure, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with brand and broader marketing objectives. This role is a partner to the Creative Director in team oversight, management and setting performance expectations for the creative function.
How You’ll Do It:
- Creative Operations & Process Management: Work alongside the Creative Director to develop and manage operational processes that support creative workflows, from concept to delivery. Ensure that creative teams stay on track and that all stakeholders are aligned with deadlines, objectives, and expectations. Flex day-to-day priorities to best accommodate in-the-moment business needs without compromising broader Marketing deadlines.
- Production Planning: Own pre and post-production planning and process for all video and photography shoots, from location scouting, to talent, product and equipment needs, run of show, and all associated deliverables.
- Creative Resource Forecasting: Forecast future creative resource needs based on upcoming business objectives, marketing campaigns, or product launches. Develop proactive strategies to ensure the team has the right resources in place for upcoming projects, including building a freelance network for BRUNT.
- Creative Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to improve creative processes and systems while maintaining a focus on the quality and originality of the work. Develop templates, timelines, and workflows to streamline creative production.
- Vendor and Partner Management: Manage relationships with external vendors and freelancers. Negotiate contracts, ensure quality standards are met, and keep vendors on schedule, ensuring creative work aligns with internal expectations and timelines.
- Quality Control & Creative Standards: Uphold a rigorous quality control process in partnership with the Creative Director, to ensure that all creative outputs meet the brand’s standards of excellence, from visual design to product experience. Enforce brand consistency across all deliverables.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Be a partner to Marketing Operations and an integral part of real-time creative collaboration that happens across the business.
- Influence Without Authority: Develop strong relationships across various cross-functional teams, working through influence rather than direct authority to drive outcomes. Ensure all team members are aligned with the overall creative vision while adhering to timelines and processes.
- Direct Team Management: Partner with the Creative Director to manage performance expectations across the Creative Team, support individual contributor career development, staffing and ongoing capacity planning, team structure and foster a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
What You Need to Succeed:
- 7+ years of experience in a fast-paced, creative environment (retail, consumer goods, or similar industries is a must). Experience in operations management or project management in a creative or marketing capacity.
- Detail-Oriented & Process-Driven: A sharp eye for detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving. Ability to create and maintain organized systems that allow creative teams to excel.
- Strong Communicator: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate and influence a wide range of stakeholders, from executive leaders to entry-level employees.
- Creative Mindset: A strong appreciation for the creative process and an understanding of how to maintain the balance between operational needs and creative freedom.
