Maintenance Technician

Job Title:                           Maintenance Technician (Full-Time)

FLSA Status:                     Non-Exempt (Hourly)

Pay Range:                        $18.00- $24.00

Schedule:                          Full Time

Department:                   Meat Unit

Reports To:                      Meat Company Director

Daily Job Description

• Work with the team in production
• Using equipment with the team and understanding how to use
• Sanitation leadership/oversight and equipment repairs
• Filling orders
• Could include packaging and grinding
• All around general duties with the team

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Daily Inspect, repair, and maintain equipment throughout the facility.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and record keeping
• Complete work orders
• Troubleshoot and replace equipment as necessary
• Read and understand operating manuals
• Maintain accurate records of work completed
• Get quotes and order replacement parts
• Monitor equipment while in operation
• Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
• Knowledge of USDA/FDA rules and regulations
• Further education when available

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced work environment
• Punctual, dependable, and reliable
• Computer knowledge
• Experience with refrigeration/Food Processing Machines such as: (Vemag, Grinders, Bandsaws, Vacuum Sealers, etc.)
• Mechanical Experience
• Flexible schedule
• Able to maintain and responsible with tools

Physical Demands

• Stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to bend, squat, kneel, and crouch
• Heavy lifting up to 80lbs
• Able to work in a temperature controlled environment which can range from 0 to 35 degrees
