Your Role

As a Hospitality Senior Interior Designer at Gensler Dallas, you will lead creative, collaborative teams dedicated to design innovation and excellence. Use your unique design perspective to bring new approaches to the design process and strategy, develop next-generation talent, and help our clients redesign what’s possible.

What You Will Do

  • Lead the creative efforts on hospitality interiors projects, developing overall design concepts and design presentation strategies

  • Participate in business development and marketing efforts

  • Mentor and provide creative direction to design teams

  • Act as the primary design interface with clients and consultants

  • Work with consultants, hotel brands, developers, furniture dealers, product reps, and fabricators to meet overall project objectives

  • Collaborate with team members and colleagues to promote an inter-disciplinary design approach and philosophy

  • Producing space plans, furniture plans, elevations, conceptual and finished design presentation documentation

  • Provide solutions to design problems and generate design alternatives

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree Interior Design or Interior Architecture from an accredited school

  • 15+ years of experience as an interior designer, with a focus on hospitality interiors

  • Certified Interior Designer

  • Recognized in the hospitality industry as a leader in hotel and resort interior design

  • Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, 3D, Rhino, Grasshopper, and other modeling software programs

  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)

  • Strong knowledge of the design process, Knowledge of furniture, finishes, materials, color selections, and specifications. Experience with construction document preparation

  • Graphics and visualization skills to effectively communicate design ideas

  • Strong leadership, organization, communication and relationship management skills
