Job Summary

Responsible for the day-to-day financial support and analysis of the Enabling / Corporate groups of Acuity Inc.  Includes supporting the close process and working with accounting to ensure monthly results are explained and accurate.  Providing reports and adhoc analysis to your business partners to help answer questions and drive improved performance.  Driving the rolling forecast process and annual target process for your teams.  Partnering with the other Finance and Accounting teams, the enabling functional leaders and other groups across the organization to drive improved performance and financial results.

 

Candidates must be local to the Atlanta, GA area. This position follows a hybrid schedule and requires regular onsite presence in Atlanta, GA. Relocation assistance is not available for this role.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

  • Partner with the Enabling / Corporate Team Leaders and provide pertinent data and analysis to establish Operational and Financial goal alignment and drive toward results
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements of the groups you support and communicate overall performance of the company to influence actions
  • Coordinate the monthly rolling forecast, and annual target process for the Enabling / Corporate groups
  • Respond timely and thoughtfully to adhoc financial requests and perform necessary investment analysis
  • Improve processes impacting your group (financial and non-financial) utilizing Better Smarter Faster (BSF) tools, and participate in Finance and business partner process events
  • Coordinate the completion of various Acuity consolidated reports (e.g. capital and headcount)
  • Evaluate compliance with US GAAP and Finance / Accounting Policies
  • Review and approve capital and expense requests to assist with spending control and internal control compliance
  • Review group specific monthly expenses and coordinate with accounting or process the necessary journal entries to ensure accurate results
  • Perform occasional maintenance of system structure to enable accurate reporting

Skills and Minimum Experience Required

  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance
  • MBA or CPA a plus
  • 2-4 years of accounting or financial analysis experience
  • Conceptual understanding of US GAAP
  • Intermediate Technical Skills (Excel, PPT, PowerBI, consolidation tool (e.g. Hyperion, One
