Quality Technician 1st Shift

• Update process job sheets.
• Conduct sand and metal sampling during the production process.
• Conduct materials testing and metallurgical analysis.
• Compile foundry data.
• Manage test samples & storage.
• Function in both the lab and production environments as necessary to complete the essential job functions.
• Maintain necessary test records.
• Retrieve information from records and produce reports as requested.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to help ensure the usability and accuracy of testing equipment and processes.
• Comply with department and company safety rules.
• Ensure that sampling and testing processes follow standard operating procedures to maintain the accuracy and repeatability of test results.
• Perform daily and weekly audits of castings.
• Communicate information to the organization regarding testing and auditing.
• Active participant in the Quality Department’s 5S process implementation.
• Other activities as assigned, e.g., cross train as a back-up for the Shipping Coordinator position.
