The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a PSD USAC Business Development Manager-PELTOR™ and Communications, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
- Building the USAC strategy and business plans while leading the implementation to deliver growth of PSD PELTOR™ Communications products
- Work collaboratively with the USAC Core Regional Sales Managers to develop regional business plans to identify target accounts, national accounts, and competitive accounts
- Work collaboratively with the Marketing, Segment, and AE Team to enhance customer acceleration and opportunity identification in key markets
- Identifying key areas for investment for Industrial PELTOR™
- Identifying key applications and customers and validate areas of focus for coverage
- Building key “roll-out” plans and timelines for PELTOR™ conversions with identified strategic accounts
- Supporting our mission of helping people return home at the end of the day safely to their families and serve as a trusted advisor to the health and safety leaders at our customers
- Defining the PELTOR™ customers that align to segments and portfolios for accelerated growth aligned with Commercial Effectiveness
- Building C-suite relationships with our PELTOR™ customers
- Coaching/mentoring, and training the Safety Specialists to maximize customer identification and pipeline growth to accelerate sales growth and closed won opportunities for PELTOR™
- Creating a business plan that will enable enhanced relationships and growth with PELTOR™ customers located in USAC with a focus on key applications to identify customer focus.
- Area and Global Marketing team to establish the roadmap for Industrial COMMS
- Overseeing, driving, and managing the successful execution of business strategies to profitably for the PELTOR™ portfolio
- Managing the profitable growth of end-user customers’ sales revenue and market share
- Identifying, building, and executing a PELTOR™ pipeline of opportunities for deeper collaboration with PSD cross-functional team members (i.e., Marketing Portfolio Team Members and Application Engineering)
- Executing field engagement with USAC Safety Specialists via joint calls specific to prioritized and targeted accounts
- Work collaboratively with the USAC General Industrial Channel Sales Team to train Distribution Sales Specialists and cross-functional 3M Sales Team based on business unit requirements
- Special Projects when and where applicable
Company Vehicle
This position requires driving a company vehicle, which will require pre-employment and ongoing review of motor vehicle history for candidates who are offered and hired for this position
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
- Five (5) years of sales (large, complex customers), distributor, and/or marketing experience in a private, government or military environment
- Current, valid driver’s license
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Master’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or Communications from an accredited institution
- Strong experience with professional field sales selling
- Seven (7) years of field sales experience to large, complex customers in a private, government or military environment
- Good understanding of the radios manufacturers market
- Strong background within the industrial communications markets within various segments: industrial manufacturing, oil and gas, transportation, utilities, etc.
- Professional sales experience selling through distributor partners
- Proven track record of key account management and delivering sales results
- Strong business development skills
- Strong project management,
