Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis

The Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) will be a key team member to the FP&A team, focused on supporting the CFO and FP&A team in budgeting and forecasting cycles within the company, assisting on month-end reporting, providing performance analysis for all functions of the business, communicate with key operators of the organization about performance, analysis and results, assist the CFO in communicating performance to constituents and producing relevant and actionable management reports and analytics.
This role will report to the Associate Vice President of FP&A and partner closely with the senior leadership throughout the organization on matters relating to the delivery of financial and operational performance that will enable the company to achieve its strategic objectives.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning- Support in the development, delivery, and execution of AEGs strategic plan. Work across functions to develop a comprehensive strategic plan that aligns the financial results with the operational objectives
- Board and Investor Communication- Develop communication materials for AEG management & stakeholders
- Operating Performance- Provide timely and accurate financial and operating performance reports to key constituents including annual Budgets, intra-year forecasts, quarterly board reporting, monthly financial reporting and any key communications or reports asked by constituents of AEG
- Financial Planning and Reporting- Develop and communicate financial plans and budgeting for AEG. Report on financial and operating results of the business whether daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually, or as requested. Analyzing and explaining variances to plan
- Provide Cross-Functional Support- Provide financial and management support to the various departments of AEG including Accounting, Field Operations, IT, Merchandise Supply Chain, Revenue Cycle Management ("RCM"), Marketing, People Operations, Corporate Development, Treasury, et al. Critical to be an active team member who works across functions and teams to drive efficiency, simplify processes, manage spend, improve performance, and support the functions to enable them to make decisions that positively impact AEG
- CFO Support- Expect the Manager to be a trusted resource to the CFO willing to make the extra effort, provide the analysis required and utilize their business acumen to ensure that the AEG team executes and delivers upon the objectives of its investors by providing the services and products valued by our customers that they expect to receive from an AEG owned operations
- Advisor to ELT Functional Leaders- Provide support, information, and advice to all functions of the ELT to ensure that informed decisions are made based on the best and most complete analysis available
- Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, mathematics, business, or similar
- Prior work experience in FP&A, investment banking, corporate development, consulting or other related sectors
- Requires a person who is self-motivated, hard-working, and committed to providing an excellent, high quality work product. This role requires a problem solver with the ability to quickly grasp the business issues of a situation and develop the best possible solution
- Advanced Excel user with experience in financial modeling, advanced formulas, Excel data analysis tools, familiarity or experience with VBA/macros, and an ability to efficiently navigate and format workbooks for presentation
- Prior experience with, or a willingness and ability to learn data visualization and/or big data tools such as Power BI or Tableau
- A proven track record of performance, where timelines are achieved, and deadlines are consistently met -- detail oriented and driven to succeed
