About the role

Cardinal View Senior Living, a Lifespark Senior Living Community is looking for an Executive Director in Training to join our growing team.

Cardinal View Senior Living recently opened in fall of 2021 and is easily accessible, right off the Beltline in Middleton, WI.  We help seniors Age Magnificently in our gorgeous 104-unit, apartment style community providing Assisted Living, Independent Living and Memory Care services.  Cardinal View was named to honor the Middleton Area High School Cardinals and is proud to be locally owned!   

      Shifts Available: Full Time, Manager on Duty (MOD) and Holiday rotation Wage: $50,000-$65,000             

 

Position Summary

Under the direction of the Executive Director, assists with leading and directing the overall operations of the facility in accordance with customer needs, government regulations, and company policy and procedure, with the focus of maintaining excellent care for the residents/tenants while achieving the facility’s business objectives.

Position Functions and Responsibilities

· Assume designated responsibilities in the absence of the Executive Director or Housing Manager.

· Assist in leading all department leadership and operations in achieving the company mission, vision, values, goals, and objectives.

· Assist in leading the facility management staff and consultants in developing and working from a business plan that focuses on all aspects of facility operations, including setting priorities and job assignments.

· Assist with monitoring each department’s activities, communicates policies, evaluates performance, provides feedback, assists and observes coaches and disciplines as needed.

· Assist with developing an environment that allows for creative thinking, problem solving, and empowerment in the development of the facility management team.

· Assist with overseeing and conducting regular rounds to monitor delivery of nursing care, operation of support departments, cleanliness and appearance of the facility, morale of the staff, and ensure resident and tenant needs are being addressed.

· Exhibit positive customer service both to internal and external customers through the ongoing support and implementation of customer service initiatives and business objectives.

· Assist with utilizing survey information to address areas of importance as defined by customers.

· Assist with ensuring consultants and other support resources are appropriately utilized, all staff is appropriately trained, and a high level of interdepartmental teamwork is maintained.

· Assist with ensuring the building and grounds are appropriately maintained and that equipment and work areas are clean, safe and orderly, and any hazardous conditions are timely addressed.

· Assist in monitoring Human Resources to ensure compliance with employment laws, company policies, and to ensure practices maintain high morale and staff retention, including effective communication, prompt problem resolution, and a proactive work environment.

· Develop positive relationships on behalf of the company with government regulators, residents, tenants, families, area healthcare providers, physicians and the community.

· Assist with managing facility budgets and business practices to include labor costs, payables, and receivables.

· Assist in ensuring a marketing strategy for the facility is developed and implemented that reflects service opportunities, completion, potential market area changes, and maximizes census, payer mix, and ancillary revenues.

· Knowledge and adherence to safety/disaster preparedness plan.

· All other duties as needed.

· Must be flexible with work assignments and assume duties as assigned by Executive Director, Regional Director of Operations, or other Executive.

Qualifications

Experience and Education

·Assisted Living - Licensed Assisted Living Director (LALD) Required within the state of operation (MN), Administrator of record with CBRF Required in WI, Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) Preferred, within the state of operation or must be obtained within the first 6 months in role.

· Experience in marketing, sales, and/or advertising.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

· Must be able to relate professionally, positively, and cooperatively with residents, resident’s families, and employees.

· Must have advanced knowledge of computer systems, including email use.

· Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance.

· Clear understanding that all injuries/accidents must be reported immediately.
