Overview

To seek, secure, and steward grant funds and grant-related relationships and resources by providing compliance monitoring, stewardship, and grant management services in accordance with district, state, and federal regulations and in alignment with district and Foundation goals.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential job functions
  • Two (2) years of experience in educational administration and/or grant development and/or compliance. Grant management experience preferred
  • One (1) year of experience providing technical assistance and training to individuals and groups, which includes project implementation, problem solving, event planning and facilitating peer learning opportunities
  • Nonprofit experience preferred
  • Experience in classroom instruction preferred
  • Experience using financial, budget software and/or grants management software preferred
  • Finance and/or bookkeeping experience preferred
  • KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Demonstrated success working with and through stakeholders in establishing goals, objectives, and action plans to produce expected results. Ability to effectively interact with teammates, teachers, community members, district employees, parents, and students. Knowledge of and ability to use, create, manipulate, and analyze data within Excel spreadsheets and database systems. Knowledge of school finances, particularly in the area of project budget development, set-up, and monitoring for compliance. Ability to communicate effectively with strong technical writing skills, including proposal development. Ability to coordinate preparation of grant application budgets and facilitate processing from inception through award. Ability to administer a funded project. Understands that quality teaching and learning are the essential processes and product of public schools and has the ability to focus human and financial resources toward this goal.REPORTS TO: Senior Manager - GrantsSUPERVISES: NoneMACHINES, TOOLS, EQUIPMENT:Machines, tools, equipment, electronic devices, vehicles, etc., used in this position. Telephone, Computer, (Personal Computer and Mainframe), Automobile, CopierPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Describes physical conditions of this position.Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently. Those activities in which detailed or important spokennstructions must be conveyed accurately, loudly or quickly.90 Hearing Acuity: The ability to perceive speech and other environmental sounds at normal loudness levels.90 Visual Acuity: The power to see at a level which allows reading of numbers and text, operation of equipment, inspection of machines, etc.Note: Will total more than 100 percent as several activities may be performed at one time.WORKING CONDITIONS:Conditions the worker will be subject to in this position.Indoors and Outdoors: The worker is subject to both environmental conditions.
