The Role

The Sr Lead Project Manager will develop, plan and manage the full lifecycle of activities for highly complex projects for external and internal customers.  Working closely with various functional teams, ensuring program and project status is tracked, monitored, and reported in accordance with the program plan, contractual requirements, and best practices.  The Sr Lead Project Manager will follow established processes and procedures, make recommendations for process improvement, with the goal of enhancing proposals, project implementation, and customer engagements for a consistently outstanding customer experience.

Location

This position is offered as a hybrid role, with the in-office component located in Herndon, VA. Candidates must reside within a reasonable commuting distance to the Herndon office.

The Main Responsibilities

• Responsible for full lifecycle support (proposal, award, implementation) of multiple large projects.
• Manage program and project related schedules, including complex Microsoft Project schedule files
• Monitor progress to ensure critical project targets are met and develops/maintains project status reports
• Identify and anticipate challenges and delays based on lessons learned and previous experience
• Make recommendations to improve efficiency (schedule and cost)
• Follow established methodologies, procedures, and systems to produce financial reporting.
• Responsible for projects financial forecast reporting
• Acts as project team leader and supports various internal teams with all aspects project implementation
• Responsible for all project procurement, working directly with Procurement and Subcontracts to issue purchase orders for material and professional service support.
• Recognize risks and implement corrective actions to ensure compliance with customer service and contractual expectations
• Engage appropriate resources to troubleshoot and isolate problems, and develop new procedures if required
• Notify the Customer of work completion and obtain acceptance of final deliverables, documents, services, and products provided per contractual requirements
• Solicit feedback from customer to determine customer satisfaction (perception of service quality and effectiveness).

What We Look For in a Candidate

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and related experience
• 8+ years related experience in project management
• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification desired
• Experience/familiarity with small and large telecommunications (data and voice) networks
• Comfortable working with various internal teams (Finance, Security, Legal, Contracts, Procurement)
• Knowledge of DoD contracts and Federal contract requirements
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, Project and PowerPoint) required

Compensation

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

Location Based Pay Ranges

$114,082 - $152,109 in these states: VA
