Job Description:
The Quality Associate Summer Intern in the QA Fractionation business unit will be responsible for creating Pool Specifications to reflect acceptable plasma types, SAP batch characteristics, test requirements, donor center eligibility, shipping/transport/packaging requirements and other plasma pool related details. Pool Specifications will be used to support Pool Modeling and Pre-pool Release functions. He/she will have the opportunity to observe other Quality Associates that perform manufacturing batch record review for Plasma Pooling through Fractionation Batch Release and Pre-pool Release of plasma pool shipments prior to processing. Some tasks may be performed in a gowned, classified area including in +5°C or colder environments.
Responsibilities include:
Collect, review and analyze data
Consult with personnel in cross-functional areas to define requirements
Create and route specifications for review and/or approvals
Communicate effectively and promptly, escalate any issues that require management decisions
Demonstrate high levels of values and integrity
Follow cGMP and department safety practices
Requirements:
Candidates for the Quality Associate Summer Intern should be enrolled in a BS/BA degree program preferably in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) or other equivalent program
Candidates must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher
Candidates must have excellent communications skills (written and verbal), attention to detail, ability to multi-task and work well under time constraints and must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Candidates with knowledge and understanding of cGMP principles and/or experience with SAP or other equivalent system preferred, but not required.
