Title: HUMAN RESOURCE TEAM LEADER
Department: Administration
Reports To: Chief Financial Officer
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, or equivalent
Registration: SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly desired
Experience: Not less than 5 years in Human Resources field. Supervising experience preferred
Duties:
- Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organizations human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to the retention of employees and building an exceptional culture.
- Provides support and guidance to HR staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
- Manages the employee benefits plans, including enrollment, changes, and removal.
- Assists the Talent Manager with the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, hiring, and on-boarding of qualified job applicants; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Maintains and updates Human Resource documents, such as the on-boarding packet, benefits packets, and employee evaluation forms.
- Assists Talent Manger with reference and background checks on applicants; schedules new hire drug tests; communicates with job applicants on the status of their applications.
- Creates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
- Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations; conducts exit interviews.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews Company Policy and recommends changes to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Conducts employee surveys on ideas for continued improvement of the company.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems.
Requirements
Physical Requirements:
- Able to work seated for 9 or more hours per workday
- Able to work 40 or more hours per work week, as needed
