Team Description

You will design at the intersection of what is at the heart of Reddit (community, belonging, empowerment for everyone in the world) and connect this to the unrealized value we offer businesses who are largely unaware of the vibrant communities that are alive with highly engaged consumers of their products and the rich troves of information that already exist about their brands and products. You will deeply understand the unique needs of businesses and partner with Research, Engineering, Product, and Community members to design and ship new experiences..

Organic services for businesses can empower brands to harness the power of community in ways that will enable them to hear authentic perspectives from their biggest fans & their most informed critics, reach new users and find informed users who provide real time, thoughtful feedback on new ideas/products they’re considering. This will also inevitably generate opportunities for brands to directly receive ideas generated from their community, similar to how social influencers today look for content ideas from Reddit. Longer term, businesses will also be able to build on this deep relationship with their Reddit communities by leveraging complementary monetized solutions from Reddit.

We believe that many brands are missing a core ingredient to be successful today — community. Having an organic presence on Reddit can unlock community for every business.

Reddit for Business is part of the larger Core Experience UX Team — whose aim is to make every day on Reddit simpler and more delightful to all of our community members. The Core Experience team is responsible for shepherding core Product Design journeys on Reddit.

What you’ll do

• Design and ship a net new experience for Businesses to participate in communities on Reddit
• Execute at every stage of the design lifecycle from ideation to delivery
• Understand the unique needs of businesses and translate those to delightful product features that will be successful on Reddit
• Deliver prescient user insights across diverse areas of focus that are non-obvious and lead to innovative design solutions
• Design innovative ideas that will significantly improve user experience for Reddit Community Members, Mods, and Businesses
• Build consensus across diverse teams through effective exploration and communication and present to design peers and senior executives

Who you might be

• 8+ years of work experience
• An excellent online portfolio showcasing UX, UI, and visual design work for mobile and web.
• Experience in social or consumer-facing products is a plus
• Strong written and presentation skills as the position requires working closely with partners across the company
• Humble and motivated to ship the best product; you're always thinking about how to improve the experience for the end user.
• Previous relevant experience in understanding how businesses can successfully integrate with consumer platforms is a plus
