Job Profiles Summary:

The Senior Air Compliance Engineer, working independently with limited supervision, is responsible for leading the company's Oil and Gas Methane Partnership (OGMP) 2.0 implementation and reporting program and serving as one of the organization's visible representatives within the OGMP framework and broader methane-reporting community. The role combines deep air quality/methane regulatory expertise with active external engagement — building relationships with OGMP peers, industry associations, and regulators — while also supporting the air compliance and operations reporting applications the team relies on day to day.

This role delivers specialized air quality support to the organization's operating divisions, ensures consistent and defensible implementation of methane reporting initiatives, and represents the company's methane program externally with credibility and consistency.

Job Description:

OGMP 2.0 Leadership & Reporting

· Leads end-to-end implementation of OGMP 2.0 reporting requirements, including Level 4/5 source-level quantification, reconciliation, and annual reporting submissions.

· Analyzes evolving methane and air emissions regulations, interprets requirements, and leads the development of cost-effective compliance programs that satisfy regulatory frameworks (EPA, state agencies, and international standards as applicable) and complement OGMP initiatives.

· Coordinates cross-functional data collection efforts (measurement, engineering estimates, and reconciliation) to support annual OGMP reporting cycles and continuous improvement of emissions accuracy.

· Tracks OGMP 2.0 program milestones and maintains documentation of methodology to support internal and external reporting.

· Owns the reconciliation methodology and the technical relationship with UNEP and third-party reconciliation platform vendors, driving toward sustained Level 5 recognition through iterative, measurement-informed reconciliation.

· Sponsors and coordinates targeted measurement campaigns (e.g., basin-specific engine testing) to close gaps identified through regulator feedback, treating them as compliance-risk mitigation rather than discretionary studies.

· Leads reporting-alignment decisions following mergers, acquisitions, or other portfolio changes (e.g., asset classification, Operated-by-Others treatment), ensuring decisions are documented ahead of each cycle's asset list confirmation.

· Establishes and owns Devon's satellite emissions-alert response process (site-list maintenance and investigation protocol) and supports readiness for third-party verification/assurance ahead of emerging methane-related regulations (e.g., EU Methane Regulation).

External Engagement & Representation

· Serves as a primary point of contact and relationship-builder with OGMP peer companies, participating in working groups, benchmarking discussions, and shared learning forums to keep the company's program current with evolving best practices.

· Represents the company in trade associations and industry coalitions on methane and air quality matters, advocating for the organization's positions and surfacing intelligence on emerging regulatory or reporting trends.

· Represents the organization at regulatory meetings, hearings, and public forums related to air quality and methane, engaging directly with agencies such as EPA and state regulators.

· Acts as a credible public-facing voice on the company's methane reporting program, comfortable presenting to external stakeholders, industry groups, and, as needed, media or community audiences.

· Builds and maintains a professional network across the OGMP reporting community to benchmark methodology, share lessons learned, and help shape industry norms.

Broader Air Compliance Support

· Provides cost-effective air compliance guidance to Operations, balancing regulatory adherence with operational efficiency.

· Participates in pre-project environmental assessments to identify potential air quality impacts and supports mitigation strategies.

· Leads complex projects independently, drives process improvement, and mentors junior team members.

· Identifies, diagnoses, and recommends solutions to complex air compliance problems, coordinating across functional areas as needed.
