Job Description

Position Overview: 

The Commercial Office Property Manager will oversee the operations of a portfolio of  office properties in McLean, VA.  The role is responsible for achieving superior operational results and financial performance. 

Essential Functions: 

• Serve as point person for the portfolio. 
• Resolve property management issues. 
• Build and maintain a best-in-class level of service at assignment
• Build employee teams and provide training, motivation and direction for superior performance. 

Responsibilities:

• Develop tenant relationships and support building operations for portfolio.
• Maintain personal contact with owners.
• Conduct routine property inspections to prevent/identify problems and exposures. 
• Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations and governmental agency directives.
• Assure optimal functioning of building life safety and security systems.
• Authorize vendor contracts.
• Establish AR/AP guidelines, track performance and monitor recovery process. 
• Ensure monthly reporting according to owner’s needs. 
• Create, assemble, review and implement annual operating and capital budgets.
• Ensure compliance with management agreements. 
• Perform various personnel functions including staffing, employee supervision, and employee development. 
• Monitor lease expirations and work with the leasing team to maximize tenant retention. 
• Coordinate insurance procurement, electricity procurement, and real estate tax review processes for the properties. 
• Coordinate property/owner teams including property management, accounting, marketing and construction. 

Qualifications

Work Experience / Knowledge / Skills: 

• Bachelor's Degree Preferred
• Property Management and Real Estate industry experience required
• At least 3-5 Years commercial property management experience with supervisory responsibility. 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• CPM, RPA designation (or in progress)
• Detail oriented, and analytical 
• Yardi and/or MRI systems experience
• MS Office - Excel, Word, Outlook
