Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
The Senior Data Engineer provides expertise in data architecture, data engineering, and data management to support the organization’s strategic goals and initiatives
Focuses on designing, building, and maintaining comprehensive and scalable data solutions that align with the overall enterprise architecture framework
Collaborate closely with Architects, Engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure data integrity, availability, and security across the organization
Contribute to the development and maintenance of the enterprise data architecture, including data models, data flow diagrams, and data dictionaries
Evaluate and recommend new data technologies and tools to support evolving business needs and provide technical guidance on data integration, data warehousing, and Data Lake implementations
Design, develop, and implement data pipelines and ETL processes to ingest, transform, and load data from various sources
Build and maintain scalable data platforms and infrastructure, including on-premises and cloud-based solutions
Optimize data processing performance and ensure data quality and consistency
Implement data governance and security measures to protect sensitive information
Collaborate with Architects, Engineers, and Business Analysts to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Provide technical support and guidance to Development Teams on data-related issues
Participate in the evaluation and selection of data-related tools and technologies
Minimum Qualifications:
BA/BS in field necessary to assume Senior Data Engineer duties of 4 years of additional experience in lieu of a degree.
12+ years of experience with 9+ years of position-specific relevant Data Engineer experience.
Experience with data modeling tools and techniques. Proficiency in SQL and other data manipulation languages.
Experience with data integration and ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend).
Experience with data warehousing and Data Lake technologies (e.g., Snowflake, AWS Redshift, Azure Data Lake). Experience with cloud
