Our Diagnostics portfolio is comprised of in-vitro diagnostic products and services that we offer to healthcare providers in the fields of laboratory diagnostics and point of-care diagnostics. Serving a broad selection of diagnostic test settings – from centralized reference and hospital laboratories to critical care, emergency departments, and physician office laboratories – our comprehensive portfolio covers a range of testing disciplines, including immunochemistry, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, blood gas analysis, and molecular tests. Diagnostics’ product range also includes our automation portfolio for efficient workflow solutions for laboratories and informatics products that are integrated with our offerings to improve the productivity of our customers. This position is a leadership role in our Global Marketing Organization for our industry leading automation portfolio for labs of all sizes. Whether it’s a commercial reference lab, an independent or network-affiliated hospital, or a mega-lab processing hundreds of thousands of samples daily—every lab needs access to high-powered, purpose-fit automation that meets their specific needs and space. Your role:
- Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with the diagnostics leadership team to define and execute the long-term strategy for laboratory automation
- Customer and Market Insights: Develop deep market and customer understanding, becoming the internal expert on lab automation needs across various customer segments including hospital laboratories, reference labs, and integrated healthcare networks. Utilize insights to shape overall strategic direction and enhance platform differentiation.
- End-to-End Product Ownership: Lead comprehensive product management including product definition, launch strategy, market introduction, commercial positioning, and associated marketing plans and campaigns for the lab automation platform.
- Competitive Selling Strategies: Evaluate competitive automation platforms, clearly defining our product's unique value propositions and creating targeted commercial strategies and messaging to effectively differentiate and communicate our advantages to customers.
- Product Definition and Design Inputs: Define clear and actionable customer requirements to guide R&D and engineering teams. Leverage comprehensive market research, user feedback, global market trends, and regional-specific insights to ensure the lab automation solutions delivered meet market demands and offer significant competitive advantages.
Your expertise:
- Experience within the medical device and diagnostics industry required with /IVD industry and lab automation experience strongly preferred.
- 8+ years of progressive strategic marketing and product management experience, ideally with comprehensive experience from market research through portfolio strategy product definition, product launch and lifecycle management. Relevant management consulting experience will be considered.
- Strategic thinker with proven ability to develop and execute strategic plans that drive business growth and innovation.
- Customer-focused mindset, skilled at converting customer insights into practical, actionable product requirements and marketing initiatives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to leverage quantitative and qualitative data to inform business decisions.
