About the role

POSITION SUMMARY: 

The bar prep position’s main function is to facilitate all bars to have all necessary garnishes prepared in a sanitary and safe manner so that service can be efficiently completed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Receive all garnishes, and safely store them in our designated storage spaces 
  • Receive by comparing the PO to the invoice, staple together, and store in proper bin in office 
  • Keep all garnish and prep stations perfectly organized, sanitary, and clean per DOH and Tao Group guidelines 
  • Use the garnish prep par sheet from the previous night’s closing bar backs as exact instructions of how many garnishes to prepare per venue for the following service 
  • Adhere to all DOH guidelines whenever preparing any F&B components of our operation in case of an inspection (i.e. wear hats, wear gloves, etc.) 
  • Assist the beverage director on the weekly receiving day for all beverage deliveries, store those away in respective shelving/storage, and keep all beverage storage spaces organized and clean 
  • Monthly deep clean of all prep/busser station areas to ensure clean and sanitary storage/prep areas (as scheduled by management) 
  • Assist with organization throughout the building that may not be garnish related after garnish prep tasks are fully completed satisfactorily 
  • Follow management instructions, report to work on time, follow the schedule, and communicate with management regarding any issues whatsoever. 
  • Assist and/ or complete additional tasks as assigned


 

 

EDUCATION/WORKING KNOWLEDGE:

  • High School Diploma Required or equivalent / Bachelor’s Degree with an emphasis in hospitality and/or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field
  • Proficient in Windows Microsoft Office, POS systems, Oracle knowledge preferred
