About the role

Job Title: 

Data Analyst

Job Summary

Responsible for gathering and ensuring good quality data is being collected to display and foster continuous improvement and optimization of the process across Casting and Assembly plants. This role can affect short term and some long-term business goals and is an integral part of our plant.

Responsibility

  • Maintain balance between customer, employee and financial satisfaction by maximizing facility/department performance indicators to align to Linamar’s Stepping Stool of Success Strategy.
  • Collect data and ensure data is managed and stored according to the department procedures.
  • Work with Team to review data and identify Overall Equipment Efficiency’s main offenders to reduce cost and improve performance.
  • Be responsible for supporting the team, create charts and provide the needed information to evaluate projects.
  • Aid the Team by narrowing down all collected data to help determine Root Causes to countermeasure.
  • Use all at hand to maintain the best possible standards and practices.
  • Assist with monitoring efficiency metrics and parameters (Downtime and Scrap) to promote improvement activities.
  • Interface with Production, Quality and Supply Chain personnel to review the accuracy of the data collected and adjust inventory when needed.
  • Capability to monitor multiple indicators.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Maintains product and company reputation by complying with government regulations.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Adhere to IATF/TS16949 and applicable customer standards.

Academic/Educational Requirements

  • Highschool diploma or equivalent or superior.
  • Computer science preferred

Required Skills/Experience

  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Macro (visual basic) level preferred
  • Data collection and Analysis skills.
  • Organized and Methodic.
