Technical Lead – Varicent Compensation Platform

Overview

Guardian Life Insurance Company is looking for a technical lead (Varicent) to join our team and work on Varicent and drive the modernization of a Compensation platform using Varicent on Cloud. Working as part of our team, you will be actively engaged with business partners and developing new functionality. This role requires good design and development knowledge, and great troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

You Will:

• Independently performs IT functions such as development, design, analysis, evaluation, and implementation of business applications.
• Drives the process of gathering requirements, analyzing data and automating business processes with software solutions.
• Provide technical leadership to developers based in India
• Represent Guardian development team covering PAS and annuity compensation system
• Develop new components including calculations, Presenter reports, webforms, saved Imports etc in Varicent ICM

You Have:

• Bachelor's Degree in - Computer Science, Information technology, or Finance
• 5+ years of experience in working with Varicent ICM
• 3+ years of experience in Life insurance industry preferably in Compensation processing
• Server knowledge to perform queries.
• Experience working with Globally dispersed teams
• Hands-on experience in Varicent ICM tool – Composer,Calculation, Web Reports, Web forms, Configure, Workflow, Scheduler modules
• Application Maintenance and Development support of the project.
• Support business queries and other adhoc reports or extract.
• Release support - Technical Specifications, Test cases, build, test support and deployments.
• Strong hands on experience across ICM modules - Calculations , Presenters, Web-Forms and Java scrips
• Strong knowledge on data modelling and data base

Nice to have

• Experience with SAFe Agile, Scrum, Kanban methodology, AWS

Location:

• Two days a week at a Guardian office in Holmdel, NJ, Bethlehem, PA or New York, NY.

Salary Range

$93,080.00 - $152,915.00

The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
