Job Description:
The Senior Supply Planning Specialist (Materials Planning) will be responsible for ensuring the accurate translation of demand forecast through SAP to support the Label Buyer/Planner’s plan, as well as the Plant level finished good’s packaging plan execution. This role is key within the Supply Chain Planning team for maintaining the printed packaging inventory targets to meet the required service level across all finished good SKU’s. This role will also work cross functionally with the Supply Chain Business Partners (SCBP), the Procurement team, as well as the Manufacturing and Packaging Planning Leaders. In addition, you will also coordinate closely with SCBP project leaders as the Label Planning Lead on new launches and planning activities. This is a fully remote opportunity that works full-time Monday to Friday during standard business hours.
Responsibilities:
• Audit SAP MRP views weekly for all MRP controllers at all sites.
• Ensure buyers are updating delivery dates in SAP so site planners can accurately create a schedule.
• Printed materials are available to ensure timely and accurate qty’s required for site packaging.
• Attend Ad Hoc Project Meetings representing label planning for new innovations and PIPO planning activities.
• Work with QA to identify obsoleted labels/IFC’s for destruction.
• Work closely with Internal Print Shop and procurement to determine which labels should be considered for printing eligibility based on color approvals and annual volume.
• Use Open order report to follow up with packaging Label rooms/label buyer-planners, to insure timely entry of label/IFC receipts.
• Follow up with Label rooms to update system for invoice/receipt discrepancies.
• Support business specific annual goals around service level and inventory.
• Use of SAP supply planning ERP system to analyze, communicate and manage the strategic plan for Labels/IFC’s.
• Partnering with Supply Chain Business Partners as the Planning SME on Labels/IFC’s.
• Collaborating with buyer/planners and Procurement team on problem solving supply issues and providing prioritization.
• Proactive communication with the network MFG/PKG leaders to understand plant level requirements.
• Advising Commercial/Internal teams on any supply challenges and supporting/spearheading mitigation plans.
• Perform additional ad hoc duties and reports that may be assigned as needed by direct Manager.
• May act as Interim Buyer for trays as needed.
Requirements:
• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or in a related field is highly desired.
• 3+ years of work experience in a Supply Chain Planning role required.
• Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office (Word/Outlook/PowerPoint) and advanced knowledge of MS Excel (Formulas, V-Look Ups and Pivot Tables) required.
• Must have excellent communication (oral and written), organizational and stakeholder management skills (ability to work with other cross-functional partners).
• Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail.
• Willing and able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; applies feedback to improve performance; monitors own work to ensure quality.
• Knowledge and experience with ERP planning tools SAP preferred.
• Willing and able to travel up to 15% based on the needs of the team and the business.
