Role Summary:
The Global Medical Director, Medical Affairs serves as a strategic Global Medical Affairs Lead for Dyne’s programs, with responsibility for developing and executing integrated global medical plans that advance scientific understanding, evidence generation, external engagement, and launch readiness. This role represents Global Medical Affairs on highly visible cross-functional teams, including Program Teams, Clinical Development sub-teams, evidence generation forums, launch readiness workstreams, and future Brand Teams. This individual translates clinical and scientific insights into actionable medical strategies, supports congress, symposia, advisory board, publication, medical education, and evidence generation activities, and helps strengthen Dyne’s external scientific presence with healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders, payers, patient communities, and other stakeholders.
The Global Medical Director partners closely with Clinical Development, Clinical Operations, Regulatory Affairs, Scientific and Medical Communications, Value and Access, Commercial, Patient Advocacy, regional medical teams, and external experts to ensure medical plans are aligned with corporate, program, product, and regional priorities. The role also supports trial site engagement, patient journey and diagnostic pathway work, Target Product Profile development, payer and access planning, data gap assessment, insight generation, and medical input for partnered assets, as needed.

Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Serve as the Global Medical Affairs representative and strategic medical lead on cross-functional teams supporting assigned neuromuscular disease programs
- Develop and execute integrated global medical plans aligned with corporate, program, product, evidence generation, and launch readiness priorities
- Act as a medical and scientific subject matter expert on Dyne’s FORCE platform, oligonucleotide and other relevant therapeutic modalities, and the scientific, clinical, diagnostic, and treatment landscape for assigned neuromuscular programs
- Maintain deep knowledge of scientific literature, clinical data, competitive intelligence, diagnostic pathways, treatment landscapes, patient journeys, and unmet needs for assigned programs
- Lead or support global KOL, payer, investigator, and external expert engagement strategies, including landscape mapping, engagement planning, insight gathering, synthesis, and reporting
- Partner with Clinical Development, Clinical Operations, Regulatory Affairs, Biometrics, Translational Medicine, and Program Leadership to support clinical trial planning, site engagement, data interpretation, and medical input into program strategy
- Identify medical evidence gaps and support development of evidence generation strategies, including real-world evidence, investigator-sponsored research areas of interest, post hoc analyses, natural history, registry, and other medical research initiatives
- Collaborate with Scientific and Medical Communications to support publication strategy, congress planning, symposia, medical education, abstracts, posters, presentations, field medical resources, and other scientific communications
- Partner with Value and Access, Commercial, New Product Planning, Patient Advocacy, and regional medical teams to inform TPP development, patient identification efforts, patient journey mapping, payer engagement plans, and launch readiness activities
