As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal at a prominent government location, you will be the first point of contact for visitors and staff, helping to create a welcoming and secure environment. Your primary responsibilities will involve monitoring access, verifying credentials, and providing exceptional customer service while maintaining a visible presence at the front desk. You will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and responding promptly to inquiries or situations that arise. Pay Rate: $21.89 / Hour
Job Schedule:
DayTimeMon07:00 AM - 05:30 PMFri07:00 AM - 05:30 PMWhat You’ll Do:
- Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities:
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk.
- Monitor and manage access to the location, verifying identification and credentials as required.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
- Maintain detailed logs and reports of daily activities, visitor interactions, and any security-related incidents.
- Assist with emergency response activities according to site protocols and Allied Universal guidelines.
- Support the security-related needs of employees, visitors, and contractors at the location.
- Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters.

- Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available
Minimum Requirements:
- Must have at least 5 years of security-related experience.
- Must have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
- Possession of a valid Guard Card or license is preferred.
- Possession of a valid Armed Guard Card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
