Job Description: 

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive AI/ML engineer with strong problem-solving mindset to join our dynamic team at the Digital, Data & Analytics group within Human Health division. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machine learning, deep learning, and artificial intelligence, including GenAI, with expertise in developing and implementing scalable AI solutions. They should possess a deep understanding of MLOps and have a solid foundation in building and deploying AI/ML solutions. You’ll be working with our partners across the organization to create sustainable and scalable AI/ML products. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, deploy, and maintain cutting-edge GenAI solutions and frameworks to solve business problems and optimize processes.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into scalable AI/ML solutions.

• Implement and maintain MLOps and DevOps best practices to streamline the deployment processes.

• Write efficient and maintainable code following best practices in software engineering. 

• Conduct thorough research and analysis of retrieval techniques, language models, and generative AI methodologies. Participate in research activities, explore new methodologies, and contribute to the development of innovative GenAI solutions

• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, techniques, and advancements in the field of GenAI and related areas.

• Collaborate with data engineers to ensure data pipeline efficiency and accuracy. 

• Continuously iterate and refine retrieval augmented generation (RAG) methods and experiment with different retrieval strategies like information retrieval, nearest-neighbor searches, or knowledge graph-based retrievals, to augment generative AI models.  

• Continuously monitor and improve the performance and efficiency of GenAI solutions

• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including presenting complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner, and contribute to strategic decision-making. 

• Utilize data visualization tools and techniques to present complex data in a clear and understandable manner

• Independently analyze, proactively identify pain points, and propose solutions to complex problems, guiding the team and senior management towards successful outcomes 

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of experience, or a Master's degree or higher, in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field

• Strong foundation in programming languages such as Python and SQL

• Able to work with SQL or NoSQL databases to access and analyze data

• Assist in the collection, cleaning, and preprocessing of structured and unstructured data from various sources

• Familiar in building scalable AI Solutions within a modern technology stack which includes cloud services, data pipelines, database, and other necessary tooling. 

• Familiarity with CI/CD and test-driven development  

• Solid foundational knowledge of machine learning concepts (i.e. neural networks, optimization algorithms, evaluation metrics). 

• Familiarity with data analysis and machine learning libraries (e.g., NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow)

• Familiarity with Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) techniques and prompt engineering techniques, reinforcement learning through human feedback, and other fine-tuning strategies. 

• Strong communication and collaboration skills. 

• Must be analytical, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred:

• Knowledge of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) 

• Experience with building, deploying, and managing docker images.
