Department Overview

Dansk Beredskabskommunikation A/S (DBK) owns and operates the nationwide radio communication system SINE (SIkkerheds-Nettet), which is used by all the Danish emergency services. DBK is part of Motorola Solutions.

The operation of SINE is about connecting police officers to firefighters and to rescue workers in order to save lives, and at Dansk Beredskabskommunikation we are particularly aware of this obligation. We work purposefully to deliver a secure and reliable service that ensures that SINE is always available to the users – even when everything else fails.

Job Description

We are in an exciting period with many new activities, and we are looking for a Senior Software/System Engineer. You will be an important part of the daily operation of the SINE network and your areas of responsibility will be:

• Maintaining and enhancing various in-house developed software tools 
• Design and develop new tools that will enhance the effectiveness of our daily operation
• Supporting In-house developed software installed in other countries. Expect 5-15 travel days per year.
• Cooperate with rest of the technical team to efficiently operate a nationwide radio network
   

Basic Requirements

An important parameter for success in this job is that you can work independently and dedicatedly, but at the same time are flexible and have good collaboration skills. You must thrive with a busy everyday life, have a good situational awareness and the ability to see potential opportunities and challenges, and deal with these in a timely manner.

You have a broad insight into IT technologies, developing software, and have good communication skills in Danish and English.

If you are the right candidate, you have, or would like to have, competences in the following areas:

• C# programming
• React Web-development
• MS SQL Databases
• VMware
• Secure Development of Software
• Root Cause Analysis

The ideal candidate also has the following background and experience:

• Highly skilled with Software Development in C# WinForms. 
• Experience or a strong will to learn React Web-development as many of our tools must be ported to Web applications
• Experience from working with the Tetra radio technology is a plus, but not required.
• Experience with the standards ISO27001, ISO 9001 and preferably ISO20000
• Requirement that you can be security approved by PET
