JOB SCOPE:
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws and directly supervises employees. Plans, coordinates, and oversees activities related to maintaining and repairing physical structures of buildings, machinery and maintaining grounds by performing the following duties. Plans, directs, and coordinates outside contracts, physical moves, rearrangement of machinery, equipment and maintenance activities. Ensures compliance with applicable codes, and all environmental regulations as well as best practices are met and /or exceeded. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws by performing the following duties:
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participates in training to produce a quality product / services, uses preventative measures to ensure the customer requirements and Tenneco standards are met.
- Comply with legal and other requirements to avoid injury and/or ill health to themselves and others.
- Understands preventative measures and creates a safe and healthy environment by having the ability to identify potential emergency situations and reports all incidents to supervisor/ manager.
- Adhere to the facility’s quality, environmental, health and safety policies that are identified by the management systems requirements.

- Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Schedules and coordinate activities and personnel concerned with maintenance of equipment and machinery in the industrial plant.
- Establishes priorities of repairs with production shift supervisors.
- Maintain comprehensive maintenance records.
- Maintains a Repair Parts Inventory Program, requisition equipment, revenue supplies, and maintenance repair items.
- Maintains a Preventative Maintenance and Predictive Maintenance Program.
- Implement OEM repair parts cost reduction practices.
- Assist maintenance personnel in developing programs to reduce percentage of equipment downtime.
- Interface with outside contractors and vendors as directed by the Plant Manager.
- Ensures Maintenance teams are performing work in conformance with Work Instructions.
- Interprets specifications and job orders to employees and assigns duties.
- Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
- Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, and/or employees.
- Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists employees in solving work problems.
