Formosa Plastics is a privately held company headquartered in Livingston, New Jersey. Our core business, producing plastic resins and petrochemicals, takes place at three wholly-owned chemical manufacturing subsidiaries located in Delaware City, Delaware, Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Point Comfort, Texas.
POSITION OBJECTIVE
To monitor production processes and product quality
QUALIFICATIONS
1. High School graduate or equivalent
2. Valid Driver’s License
3. Eight hours of college chemistry; or an associate degree in Chemical Technology (Laboratory); or three years industrial lab experience; or 15 consecutive months Chemical/Polyolefins/PVC/Polymer Analysis lab experience
TRAINING
Policy, Procedure, and Safety Training available after hire
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair Instruments
2. Analyze Process Samples
3. Analyze Final Product Prior to shipment
4. QC Analysis for Process
5. Enter data to TQMS as needed
6. Complete paperwork as required
7. Attend Safety and Departmental Training
8. Will abide by the quality policy in regards to ISO 9000 and will abide by the Environmental, Health & Safety Requirements as they pertain to ISO 14001.
9. Work outside normal shift hours as needed.
10. Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
11. Perform other duties as assigned
