Responsibilities:  

• Leverage specialized knowledge of Zoom’s proprietary applications, technology, tools, and specific internal processes to design and implement (C/C++) features to improve the backend system;
• Integrate services to reduce architecture and business complexity, utilizing specialized knowledge of Zoom’s proprietary applications, technology, tools, and specific internal processes to enable engineers to meet customer demands efficiently and effectively;
• Draw upon specialized knowledge of Zoom’s data distribution process, Zoom’s data migration process, and Zoom’s customer requirements, to support high impact projects across Zoom’s stack;
• Collaborate with DevOps to support the timely resolution of architecture-related issues impacting customers, applying specialized knowledge of Zoom’s customer requirements to develop and implement quality solutions;
• Leverage specialized knowledge of Zoom’s traffic distribution, data partitioning and failover mechanisms to support the overture of Zoom’s web-based system on server platforms; and
• Design and implement web servers APIs, applying specialized knowledge of Zoom’s products, internal processes, and technical architecture, to drive flawless implementation.

What we're looking for:

• Requires a Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Technology, a related field, or a foreign degree equivalent;
• Must have 4 years of experience in job offered or related occupation;
• Must have 4 years of experience in utilizing Master Google Calendar API and Microsoft Outlook Calendar API in industry projects, calling google Calendar API and Microsoft Outlook API, analyzing results, and acknowledging important fields;
• Must have 4 years of experience in utilizing gateway NGINX to configure backend services including cookie management, lookup, and forwarding;
• Must have 4 years of experience in utilizing C/C++ to design and implement features to improve backend system systems;
• Must have 4 years of experience in utilizing modern C++ features to store and operate BigData databases;
• Must have 4 years of experience in utilizing open-source frameworks, such as GFlags, GLogger, and tools such as GDB, tcpdump to help implement and troubleshoot issues during development and production;
• Must have 4 years of experience in designing and implementing web servers APIs (application programming interfaces);
• Must have 4 years of experience in utilizing REST (Representational state transfer) standard and designing new APIs;
• Must have 4 years of experience in Implementing Apache module to connect web service handler with the power Apache web server to serve requests; and
• Must have 4 years of experience in working with DevOps team deploy service to Kubernetes cluster.
• Telecommuting work arrangement permitted: position may work in various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. Position does not require domestic or international travel.

Salary Range or On Target Earnings:

Minimum:

$174,200.00

Maximum:

$228,700.00

In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary, bonus and equity value.

Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.

We also have a location based compensation structure;  there may be a different range for candidates in this and other locations.
