What You Will Do:​
- Customer Support: Provide expert assistance to customers in resolving technical issues related to the installation or operation of Collins Aerospace products. Consult with customers on pre- and post-installation challenges and review equipment interface requirements.
- Customer Training: Educate customers on the maintenance and use of products and interpret technical drawings.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve system/equipment interface problems during installations using applicable drawings and tools.
- Maintenance & Modifications: Perform preventive maintenance, modifications, and necessary field changes to installed equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- System Testing: Support the conduct and performance of equipment/system acceptance testing following installation.
- Documentation: Ensure all necessary documentation is accurate and complete for work performed, and that all systems are updated to reflect the current status against the daily work plan (Velocity/CMES, WUC’s).
- Engineering Support: Assist engineering in identifying and solving equipment design problems, evaluating product performance, and conducting field trials.
- Travel: Be prepared for potential extended travel to both international and domestic customer sites to support various activities, including filling in for other Field Support members.
- Additional Duties: Perform any other assigned duties as required.
Qualifications We Require:
- Typically requires a High School or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post-post high school training), with minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position
- Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Must have a valid Drivers License
- While performing the duties of this job, the associate is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, talk or hear.
- The associate must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- While performing the duties of this job, the associate is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and outside weather conditions.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
