Job Purpose

The primary mission of the Team Lead, Lien Department will provide waiver, lien and bond processes relating to securing credit on accounts and the company’s receivables. This position reports directly to the Legal Services & Risk Director with delegated duties such ensuring proper processing of waivers, releases, lien, and bond claims and training and mentoring teams to meet and exceed departmental objectives and goals. 

Key point of contact for and references for Herc’s collections areas regarding lien & bond claim laws, lien & bond noticing and filings, executing waivers, and managing the company’s related vendors. This role manages the process of issuing lien waivers in accordance with statutory law to ensure timely and compliant disbursement of payments from customers. Candidate will collaborate with management to develop procedures and systems to ensure the most efficient processes comply and that the department’s goals and objectives are met.

What you will do...

Focus on implementation strategies to enhance customer payments. 
•    Ensure functions are done in accordance with policies and procedures for lien and waiver processing
•    Supervise employees and address any issues that may arise
•    Perform reviews of accounts sent by collections and field staff to ensure credit is secured through lien and bonds
•    Perform quality and quantity audits of the lien and waiver processing function
•    Assist collections with training and mentoring teams
•    Provide a high level of customer service in resolving issues related to preliminary notices and lien releases
•    Review of compliance standards as requested for internal and external audit
•    Review of lien rights that have been filed
•    Responsible for monthly reporting and statistics, including improvements to relating databases, to upper management
•    Take proactive measures to escalate uncollectible accounts and bring material changes to departmental heads regarding financial position of customers
•    Assist in projects, process improvements, and other collection related tasks as identified by management
•    Provide economic strategy in improving AR
•    Manage account rehabilitation processes with re-activations of accounts relating to lien and bond processes previously ensued
•    Manage payment options, final demand letters sent, and other final resolution processes
•    Maintain a high level of customer service relationships both with Internal and External customers to drive efficiencies in processes
•    Other Duties as assigned by management

Requirements

  • 4 years of supervisory experience
  • Recent work experience in commercial credit review and risk assessment is preferred

Pay Range: $75,000 - $85,000
